Rockruff evolves into Midday Form Lycanroc when leveled up during the day (in Generation VII, in Pokémon Sun and Ultra Sun only). The form it evolves into depends on the time. It evolves from Rockruff starting at level 25. But you can get a special gift of this Rockruff as an early purchase bonus with Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. Lycanroc ( Japanese : Lugarugan) is a Rock-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. Only special Rockruff can evolve into a Dusk Form Lycanroc, and neither this Rockruff nor Dusk Form Lycanroc can be caught in normal gameplay. A Dusk Form Lycanroc with this Ability would likely favor a different style of battle than Midday Form or Midnight Form. Tough Claws greatly increases the power of moves that make direct contact. In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, Midnight Form Lycanroc learned this move when it evolved from Rockruff.ĭusk Form Lycanroc has the Ability Tough Claws, a different Ability than either Midday Form or Midnight Form.

From the start, players can evolve their Rockruff into both Lycanroc Midday and Lycanroc Midnight, the standard evolutions that have always been included. The colors of Dusk Form Lycanroc’s body and eyes differ from those of previously discovered Lycanroc, known as Midday Form and Midnight Form.
